The “Colectivo Acciones de Arte”, established in 1979, inserted itself in the public ground, occupying as medium hegemonic strategies using the common citizen as a valid interlocutor.

The group´s aim was to produce visual and written works. CADA was an essential protagonist of the “Escena de Avanzada” by merging art and life, transcending the logic of resistance imposed by the political reality of the time.

Their actions expressed the desire for socio-political change through interventions in the Santiago urban space with images that questioned dictatorship.

CADA was formed by Fernando Balcells, Diamela Eltit, Raúl Zurita, Lotty Rosenfeld and Juan Castillo.
