Gastón Carreño, Marilyn Boror, and Claudia Martínez Garay on “No Man’s Land”

19 Dec 2024
On December 19, 2024, we held an online conference on the recent exhibition “No Man's Land” on display at our gallery in Vitacura. For this occasion, we invited academic Gastón Carreño and visual artists Marylin Boror and Claudia Martínez Garay to discuss their works featured in the “Circulations” section of the exhibition. Claudia Martínez and Marylin Boror work with different media and techniques, raising questions about identity, the circulation of indigenous art in contemporary contexts, the body, and Latin American territory. Gastón Carreño holds a PhD and Master's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Chile and specializes in visual anthropology, the representation of indigenous peoples in images, film, and ethnographic video.
