Next Wednesday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m., the launch of the book Otras escrituras. Gestos, movimientos e inscripciones en el arte y la poesía contemporáneas (Other Writings: Gestures, Movements, and Inscriptions in Contemporary Art and Poetry) by Megumi Andrade Kobayashi will take place at the Il Posto Research and Documentation Centre. The event will feature the author, philosopher Marcela Rivera, and artists Sebastián Barrante and Fernanda Aránguiz.
Megumi Andrade Kobayashi holds a PhD in American Studies, specializing in Thought and Culture (Institute of Advanced Studies, IDEA, University of Santiago, Chile), a Master’s degree in Literature (University of Chile), and a Master’s degree in Image Studies (Alberto Hurtado University). She is a professor of Art Theory and History at the UAH and an academic and researcher at the Faculty of Arts of the Finis Terrae University, where she directs the “GPA Artistic Publications Research-Creation Laboratory.” She is one of the founders of La Oficina de la Nada, a research group focused on the links between literature, visual arts, and music, and on curating exhibitions related mainly to books and printed art. In 2023, she published the novel Púa (Overol).
