History It was created in 2017 with the aim of sharing and facilitating access to the works that make up a private collection of more than 400 pieces of contemporary Latin American art. In 2020, the exhibition space formally opened its doors to the public with Juan Downey's solo exhibition El nudo de la vida (The Knot of Life).
Mision and Vision Il Posto is defined by its fundamental commitment to promoting and enriching discussions about contemporary Latin American art in Chile and the region. Our vision focuses on bridging the gap between the Chilean art scene and the rest of Latin America, building an active community of artists, researchers and curators who actively nurture our exhibition and research spaces, while studying and producing new knowledge about our collections.
