Laura Ibáñez is a visual artist, cultural manager, and researcher. Over the coming months, she will investigate the possible dialogues between two artistic works that, directly or indirectly, critique museum spaces and their role in the circulation of visual culture: Sandra Gamarra’s Proyecto Li-MAC (Lima Museum of Contemporary Art, 2002) and Juan Pablo Langlois’ Cuerpos Blandos (1969).
Tania Salazar is a cultural manager and designer with a degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Her research will address the work of artist Antonio Pichillá and its impact on the conceptualization of Latin American identities and the modification of the categories in which art from an indigenous perspective is traditionally classified. We congratulate both of them on being awarded the scholarship!
