Nicolás Franco
Nicolás Franco is a Chilean visual artist born in Santiago in 1973. His work is characterized by addressing the concept of the document as a "discursive support" available to activate operations of altering meaning, overimposing images that oscillate from the historical-cultural archive to one of a biographical and banal nature. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst (Zurich), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Lima), the Blanes Museum (Montevideo), and the Museo del Barro (Asunción). His works are part of significant international collections, including the Tate Modern in London and the Eduardo Hochschild Collection in Lima.
