Gianfranco Foschino is a visual artist born in Santiago in 1986. He studied Audiovisual Communication at the University of Arts, Sciences and Communication of Chile and then Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires. Known for his silent video installations, he has participated in several collective exhibitions, among them: the 54th Biennale di Venezia; the 9th Biennial SITE Santa Fe, U.S.A. (2014) and the 13th Cuenca biennial. He was also a guest artist of the Chilean pavilion MONOLITH CONTROVERSIES at the 14th International Exhibition of Architecture and was awarded the León de Plata Award. (2014).
