Fernando Prats

Santiago, 1967

Fernando Prats is a visual artist born in Santiago in 1967. He studied at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, the University of Chile, and later at the University of Barcelona. His work, known for undertaking large-scale actions or expeditions (mostly in Chile), has been exhibited in various international exhibitions, including the 54th Venice Biennale, the 2012 Mediations Biennale, the Triennial of Chile, and the Universal Exhibition of Water in Zaragoza. His artistic career has also been recognized with several grants and awards, including the Guggenheim Fellowship and the Honorary Presidential Grant from the Government of Chile.
