Eugenio Tellez is a painter and printmaker born in Santiago in 1939. He studied at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Chile and later worked with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17, becoming Associate Director of the studio in 1966. His works have been exhibited in various countries around the world and in biennials such as those in Paris, Havana, and Cuenca. In 1962, he was awarded the First Place Prize for Printmaking at the Paris Biennial.
