Paula Baeza Pailamilla

Paula Baeza Pailamilla is a Mapuche visual artist born in Santiago in 1988. Her work, markedly performative, reflects on the position occupied by Mapuche women in the public space and the city, focusing at the same time on the self-determination of the indigenous subject in Chilean society as a political gesture. She has participated in the 11th Berlin Biennial and in exhibitions such as "Visión y presencia" (Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, 2023), "HERE AND NOW" (Museum Ludwig, 2022-2023), and "Así van las cosas" (MAVI, 2022).
