On Monday, 14 August at 12 noon, we welcomed artist Carlos Arias and critic and academic Diego Parra for a discussion at Il Posto's Research and Documentation Centre.

The conversation between Arias and Parra revolved around Arias’ exhibition ‘Chile: Amnesia de Verdad’ (Chile: True Amnesia), presented at the National Museum of Fine Arts and curated by Cuauhtémoc Medina.

Carlos Arias was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1964. His career has developed internationally, particularly in Mexico, where his work has been widely recognised and curated by leading Latin American art historians such as Cuauhtémoc Medina, chief curator of the University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC).
