Mathieu Copeland is a curator and lecturer. He has developed a practice that seeks to subvert the traditional role of exhibitions and renew our perception of them. Among many other initiatives, he co-curated the exhibition \u201cVOIDS, A Retrospective\u201d at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Kunsthalle in Bern, and edited the anthology \u201cVOIDS.\u201d He curated \u201cA Choreographed Exhibition\u201d at the Kunsthalle St. Gallen and the Ferme du Buisson, and \u201cSoundtrack for an Exhibition\u201d at the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Contemporain in Lyon. He curated and launched the series \u201cA Spoken Word Exhibitions,\u201d \u201cReprise,\u201d and \u201cExhibitions to Hear Read\u201d\u2014three volumes to date, all of which were recently presented at the ICA in Philadelphia in February 2012.
