ABOUT THIS CALL<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this particular call for applications, Il Posto is offering up to two (2) grants to fund the development of research and writing projects that address the work of at least one of the artists<\/strong> in the Il Posto Collection who will participate in the exhibition to be presented in the Il Posto exhibition hall during the first half of 2026 and the thematic core of the exhibition<\/strong>. These projects must be developed between March 30 and July 30, 2026, and produce an essay of between 7,000 and 9,000 words, which will be published on the Il Posto website.<\/p>\n

The artists from the Il Posto Collection who will be part of the above-mentioned exhibition are:<\/p>\n

  3. Ana Segovia<\/li>\n
  4. Fernanda Laguna<\/li>\n
  5. Paula Anguita<\/li>\n

  7. Wiki Pirela<\/li>\n
  8. Wynnie Mynerva<\/li>\n
  9. Natalia Babarovic<\/li>\n
  10. Pedro Lemebel<\/li>\n
  11. Edgar Calel<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The thematic core that will shape this exhibition is the concept of anomaly<\/strong><\/em>, understood in a broad sense as a gesture, instance, or experience that disrupts the landscape of the known, that disconcerts us or produces an effect of estrangement. This concept can be explored from various perspectives and linked to other notions or categories. In this vein, some secondary themes that can be used to think about the anomaly (or anomalies) in relation to the practices of the artists mentioned above are:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Fictions, fables, and visual narratives<\/li>\n
    • The monstrous, the deformed, the ominous<\/li>\n
    • The illegible, the indecipherable, the mysterious<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      To develop their research and writing projects, Il Posto Research Grant recipients will receive:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • $200,000 Chilean pesos per month each for the duration of the four-month fellowship.<\/li>\n
      • Access to the resources available in the Il Posto Collection, the Archive, the Library, and the Artists’ Book Collection at the Il Posto Documentation Centre.<\/li>\n
      • Support from the Il Posto team to develop their research.<\/li>\n
      • Support in disseminating the results of their research (specifically through the publication of their texts on the Il Posto website and the holding of a discussion after the end of the fellowship).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

         <\/p>\n

        RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FELLOWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Those awarded the Il Posto Research Grant in this call must:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Attend in person at the Il Posto Research Centre (Jos\u00e9 Miguel de la Barra 480, dpto. 201, Santiago, Chile) at least 4 hours a week during the 4 months of the fellowship duration.<\/li>\n
        • Submit, two months after the start of the fellowship, a progress report of approximately 3,000 words describing the progress of their research (this can also be a preview of their final texts, if preferred).<\/li>\n
        • Submit, immediately after the end of the fellowship, a text of between 7,000 and 9,000 words in which they present the results of their research.<\/li>\n
        • Present and exchange opinions on the results of their research in a discussion to be held at the Il Posto Research Centre after the end of the fellowship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

           <\/p>\n

          PROFILE OF THE FELLOWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Anyone who is available to attend Il Posto Documentos weekly to conduct their research may apply for the Il Posto Research Grant. Applicants may be:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • People who have completed or are pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in the arts and humanities.<\/li>\n
          • Researchers who have conducted research or show interest in topics related to contemporary Chilean and Latin American art.<\/li>\n
          • Writers or people with experience or interest in writing .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
