Each partner organization\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilposto.cl\/en\/\">Il Posto <\/a>(CL); <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urraurra.com\/\">URRA <\/a>(AR); <a href=\"https:\/\/kioskogaleria.com\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n RSV, KIOSKO <\/a>(BO); and <a href=\"https:\/\/eacheve.com\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n EACHEVE<\/a> (EC)\u2014will host a curator or researcher from a partner country for a fully funded residency, providing administrative and personal support as well as access to networks throughout their stay.<\/p>\n<p>To maximize the impact of the residency, each host organization will require the resident to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce an outcome to be agreed upon during the residency. This may be an exhibition, a talk or presentation, a text, or an event involving the local public.<\/li>\n<li>Engage in robust networking to ensure the candidate has access to artists and institutions in the city where they will conduct their research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program is fully funded by the host organizations, with additional support from <a href=\"https:\/\/era-foundation.org\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n ERA<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This call is exclusively for emerging and mid-career curators, researchers, writers, critics, and art historians based in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador. Candidates must be available to spend 4 to 6 weeks abroad fully dedicated to the residency (applications from individuals wishing to complete their residency at an organization in their own country of origin will not be considered).<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must speak Spanish and have a conversational level of English that allows them to disseminate the results of their research internationally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested individuals must submit their applications via the form available at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trianglenetwork.org\/triangle-network\/opportunities\/triangle-network-america-latina\">following link<\/a>. Only digital applications will be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Each applicant must attach a single PDF document to the application form, which must include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A cover page with your legal name, mailing or contact address, email address, and phone number, as well as links to your social media profiles or websites, if applicable.<\/li>\n<li>A 250-word statement describing your curatorial or research practice and your interests.<\/li>\n<li>A 250-word statement regarding your plans for the residency, detailing the research you wish to conduct in the country and the chosen organization.<\/li>\n<li>A 150-word statement and potential research proposal for a second residency option, in the event that your first choice is unavailable.<\/li>\n<li>Up to 3 recent curatorial projects and written works. These may include images or video or audio clips, with clear captions and brief descriptions where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>A curriculum vitae of no more than 3 pages.<\/li>\n<li>Any additional relevant documentation, such as articles about your recent work, exhibitions, or publications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Applicants should note that only files up to 10MB can be attached to the application form. If your file exceeds 10MB, or is not in PDF format, it cannot be submitted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application and Evaluation Deadlines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application deadline: June 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM (UK time)<\/li>\n<li>Online interviews with shortlisted candidates: week of June 29 to July 12, 2026<\/li>\n<li>Notification to selected candidates: week of July 20, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, we recommend consulting the document attached to this call for applications and reviewing the information available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trianglenetwork.org\/triangle-network\/opportunities\/triangle-network-america-latina\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific conditions of the residency at Il Posto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The residency organized by Il Posto will take place from Monday, November 9, to Friday, December 4, 2026 (4 weeks).<\/p>\n<p>This residency will be research-oriented, focusing on the study of the Chilean and Latin American art scene from an active curatorial perspective. As a frame of reference for the residency, Il Posto proposes the question that drives its 2026 program: <i>What is collected when time is collected?<\/i> From this perspective, the institution reflects on the imaginaries and policies that institutional and para-institutional practices produce in the act of preserving, cataloging, and exhibiting objects. This framework is not intended to be a thematic limitation, but rather a horizon from which the resident can develop their own line of research.<\/p>\n<p>Il Posto will cover all expenses associated with the residency. The maximum total budget to cover these expenses is 3,500 USD, excluding a research grant to be agreed upon based on the submitted project. The support offered by Il Posto to the curator and\/or researcher selected for the residency includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Round-trip flights to Chile<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation for the entire duration of the residency<\/li>\n<li>A daily stipend for living expenses<\/li>\n<li>Access to the resources of the Institution\u2019s Research and Documentation Center<\/li>\n<li>Support from the Il Posto team for archival research, meeting coordination, and technical needs related to the research project<\/li>\n<li>Use of the Research Center\u2019s facilities for meetings, interviews, and work sessions<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for dialogue with Il Posto collaborators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Il Posto will work closely with the selected resident prior to their arrival in Santiago to ensure a productive and well-organized stay. During this preparatory phase, we will explore the possibility of organizing public events during the residency\u2014such as workshops, colloquia, or other activities\u2014and discuss the specific outcome of the research conducted during this stay (an exhibition in Il Posto\u2019s archive room, a symposium, a publication, etc.).
