Its first issue was released in May 1990 and the last in December 2007. It had thirty-six publications and ceased circulation after eighteen years of work. One might suggest that the project ended when it came of age, after living through the adolescence of its time or suffering with it. However, the story is different: as Nelly Richard, director of the publication, explains, its end was due to the exhaustion of a \u201cdesire for a magazine.\u201d And if it was a desire that died out, it was also a desire that sustained the publication. A critical and theoretical longing: a t<em>hirst for magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition <em>De sed de revista<\/em> (&#8220;Thirst for Magazine&#8221;) is the result of research conducted by Ignacio Veraguas as part of the Il Posto Winter-Spring 2023 research grant. In it, Veraguas set out to investigate <em>Revista de Cr\u00edtica Cultural<\/em> as a whole, with a special emphasis on reflection on visuality in its various issues (most of which are available in the Il Posto Archive). The exhibition presents part of the critical work that the magazine supported and aspired to, without neglecting elements crucial to the life of the project, such as subscription forms for issues or invitations to related events.
