During the month of August we received at Il Posto Documentos very important visits from abroad. In one of those instances, the Director of Il Posto Documentos, Antonio Echeverría, had the opportunity to talk with the prominent Mexican academic and curator, Cuauhtémoc Medina.

The second meeting of the series “Conversaciones y derivas” was the first collaboration between Il Posto and the RESET curatorial and institutional research platform. In this meeting, a dialogue was held with the artist in relation to his work in the institutional space to analyze and delve into the practices with which he destabilizes and softens these spaces.

This conversation revolved around the work developed by Manuela Moscoso as curator of the Liverpool Biennal in 2021 “The Stomach and the Port'' where Diego Bianchi, participated with his piece “Inflation”, which is currently being shown at Il Posto. The dialogue referred to the dimensions of the digestive and organic processes in the artist's production. 

On Monday, June 24, curator and scholar Jose Luis Falconi's lecture "Avatars of Indigenism." He presented about a series of research and exhibitions that raise essential questions about contemporary indigenous art in Latin America based on its circulation and inscription in the aesthetic and political discussions in the region.

We recently spoke with Pablo Linsambarth, an artist from the Il Posto collection. In it, the artist told us about his journey as an artist and the way in which the different artistic and generational references are transmitted in his artistic processes and reflected in his works.
