Voluspa Jarpa
Voluspa Jarpa is a visual artist born in Rancagua in 1971.She studied a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chile and years later continued her studies at the Master of Arts of the Catholic University in Chile, where she has been teaching since 2006. Her works, known for investigating the nature of the archive, memory and the cultural and symbolic notion of social trauma, are in important collections, including those of MALBA, LARA Foundation, Kadist Foundation and Blanton Museum of Art. She has also participated in various exhibitions around the world and in Biennials such as those in Havana, Shanghai, Mercosur and Istanbul.
