Seba Calfuqueo
Seba Calfuqueo is a visual artist of Mapuche origin born in Santiago in 1991, curator of Espacio218 and part of the Mapuche collective Rangiñtulewfu. Her work, which takes as its starting point her cultural heritage and life experience to critically reflect on issues related to colonialism and feminism, is part of important collections, including the TATE Modern (England); Centre Pompidou (France), Denver Art Museum (USA); MALBA Museum (Argentina) and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Spain). She has participated as a guest artist in the Venice Biennial (2024), Whitney Biennial (2024), 34th São Paulo Biennial (2021), 12th Mercosur Biennial (2020) and 22nd Paiz Biennial (2020) and has been recognized with several awards, including the FAVA Foundation in 2018 and the Cuervo Award at Zona Maco in 2024.
