Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa is a visual artist born in Guatemala City in 1978. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver in 2006 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008. He has exhibited individually at Casa de América; Akademie Schloss Solitude; Gasworks; and CAPC musée d'art contemporain and participated in collective exhibitions such as A History of Interventions, held at Tate Modern, and the biennials in Gwangju, Lyon, São Paulo and Venice. He has also received the DAAD, Akademie Schloss Solitude and John Simon Guggenheim scholarships and the 2017 Mies van der Rohe Award.
