Gonzalo Díaz

Gonzalo Díaz is a Chilean visual artist born in Santiago in 1947. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Chile between 1965 and 1969, where he obtained a degree in Art with a major in painting, and continued his studies in 1980 at the Universitá Internazionale dell'Arte in Florence, Italy. He is considered one of the most important active visual artists in the Chilean art scene, having won numerous awards, including the Guggenheim Fellowship and the 2003 National Arts Award.
