Affective geographies: three works by Natalia Lasalle-Morillo
18:30 hours
Next Monday, 27 October, at 6:30 p.m., a discussion between artist Natalia Lasalle-Morillo and art historian Ignacio Szmulewicz will take place at the Il Posto Research and Documentation Centre. The conversation will follow a viewing of three works by the artist: ‘Unruly Subjects’, “Retiro” and ‘En Parábola’.
Natalia Lassalle-Morillo (Bayamón, Puerto Rico) is an artist and director. Fusing theatre, experimental film, and installation, her practice examines memory and history through participatory processes that invite collaborative creation and collective reflection. Her works explore Caribbean memory and the material and spiritual trajectories marked by imperialist oppression, rehearsing an alternative historiography that intertwines past and present to imagine new mythologies.
